Today marks the re-birth of AirPigz.com(!) and I'm kicking off this new era with info on a great opportunity to save money at the Wicks Aircraft Open House event (at their Highland Illinois facility) this Saturday October 22. I’ll be there to pick up a pre-order I have placed for a large part of what I need for the 1959 Piper PA-18A Super Cub restoration project that I’m just beginning. If you haven't heard, my life has become very Cub-centric since April 2016. There’s a J-3 Cub that I maintain and fly for the local Warsaw Flying Club... and now, there’s Super Cub restoration project in my life! It’s an amazing turn of events for me. I also plan to blog the Super Cub project here on AirPigz, which will also lead to bringing the Pig back to life in some form or other of avgeek entertainment posting.
But right now I’m excited for the opportunity to save 20% off of my pre-ordered materials from Wicks Aircraft. And, since I’m ordering some large aluminum sheets and a variety of other large items that would include quite a bit of shipping cost, I’m saving even more by making the trip over and doing the hauling myself.
